Email Communication Overview

Emma is an email platform for designated Tarleton State University users to support streamlined and consistent communications efforts. This service is for internal messages that should be sent as mass emails to the entire university community. We strongly encourage divisions, colleges, and schools to use Emma to distribute internal communications to Tarleton State University community members.

The Office of Marketing & Communications manages the university’s Emma HQ account. Divisions that communicate to external stakeholders, such as Athletics or Advancement, will continue to operate independently with their current platforms.

If you have a need to send emails to external audiences please contact the Web operations team as there are certain protocols to follow in order to be within federal guidelines related to CAN-SPAM.
