STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Lori Beaty has been promoted to associate vice president for the Division of Finance and Administration and assistant chief financial officer at Tarleton State University.
“Lori is a highly motivated, knowledgeable finance professional with an established reputation for effectiveness and innovation,” said Dr. Rick Richardson, Tarleton’s CFO and senior vice president of finance and administration. “Under her leadership, the university’s Office of Business Services has implemented numerous efficiency and process improvements while embracing a culture of exemplary service.”
In addition to continuing to lead the Office of Business Services, Financial Accounting Services and Budget Services, Beaty assumes responsibility for the university’s capital planning process and will serve as the financial liaison for Tarleton’s upcoming reaccreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. She also will oversee the Office of Procurement and Contract Services.
Beaty began her Tarleton career in 2011 and became university controller two years later.
“Tarleton is a special place because of its amazing students, thoughtful leaders and dedicated faculty and staff,” she said. “I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the campus community in this new role.”
A certified public accountant, Beaty serves on several Texas A&M University System committees and as an adjunct faculty member for Tarleton’s College of Business Administration. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas A&M-Commerce and an MBA from Tarleton.
