STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Gather your fellow Tarleton State University alumni and register now for the annual J. Dixon White Homecoming Golf Tournament set for Friday, Oct. 19, at Canyon West Golf Club near Weatherford.
The tournament — organized by the Division of Student Affairs and sponsored by Sodexo — is an opportunity to relax, reminisce and enjoy an afternoon with fellow Tarleton alumni and friends of the university. Registration deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 10, with entries limited to the first 180 persons.
Following a “Florida Scramble” format, this year’s tournament provides for six-person teams. Entry fee is $50 per person and includes green free, cart rental, range balls and lunch.
Tournament check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start scheduled for 10. Sodexo will provide light snacks before the round begins. Outside beverages are prohibited at the golf club.
Special contests include longest drive on holes 9 and 18, and closest-to-the-pin on holes 6, 8, 12 and 17. A variety of Tarleton-related prizes and apparel will be awarded at the tournament.
