STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Tarleton State University professor of piano Dr. Leslie Spotz has garnered recognition as one of the state’s top music instructors by the Texas Music Teachers Association. Spotz recently earned the over 2000-member organization’s 2017 Award for Outstanding Collegiate Teaching Achievement. The award is given for success in music performance, composition, theory, history, or any combination.

Calling the the recognition “a great honor, for which I am deeply appreciative,” Spotz added, “Since I began teaching piano at the collegiate level back in 1981, I can attest to the profound value of the teaching profession.
