STEPHENVILLE, Texas —Tarleton State University’s W.K. Gordon Center for Industrial History of Texas presents the classic Western film Annie Oakleyat 6:30 p.m., Saturday, April 28, as part of its ongoing Night at the Opera House series.

The movie, starring Barbara Stanwyck as the iconic sharp-shooter who eventually headlines Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show, was made in 1935 and directed by George Stevens.

The film and refreshments are free, but seating is limited and reservations are recommended. Guests can reserve a spot via email at GordonCenter@tarleton.edu, calling 254-968-1886 or online on the museum calendar at www.tarleton.edu/gordoncenter.

The W.K. Gordon Center for Industrial History of Texas, a Tarleton museum and research facility located in the historic ghost town of Thurber, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. The center is located at Exit 367 on Interstate 20 between Fort Worth and Abilene.
