Dallas Fed, Tarleton State to Host Economic Conference

STEPHENVILLE, Texas — The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas will team with Tarleton State University’s Dr. Sam Pack College of Business to host a one-day conference Thursday, Oct. 24, in Stephenville. This is the sixth time the two have collaborated on an economic conference in the community.

Laila Assanie, the Dallas Fed’s senior business economist, will provide a regional economic update during a luncheon, which members of the community are invited to attend.

Dallas Fed representatives also will hold a student-focused session introducing the Federal Reserve banking system and facilitate a roundtable where local business leaders can discuss economic conditions in the region.

Community members and students who wish to attend the event may RSVP through the Dr. Sam Pack College of Business website.

Dr. Keldon Bauer, Interim Dean of Tarleton State’s Dr. Sam Pack College of Business, will host a community meet and greet for community leaders, bankers, business owners and Dr. Sam Pack College of Business faculty members to explore issues impacting the local economy.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas hosts similar events several times annually, focusing on regionally specific issues.
