STEPHENVILLE, Texas—A new parking lot will open to residential students on the campus of Tarleton State University beginning Thursday, Sept. 29.

Lot P43, designated as a residential student (Red Zone) parking lot, provides an additional 92 spaces. The new parking lot is located at the intersection of North Lillian and Shirley streets, and adjacent to Heritage and Integrity Halls and University Village Apartments.

Contractors will substantially completed construction this past weekend. Additional construction to pour new sidewalks along Shirley Street will take place this week, barring any weather-related delays.

Two more new parking lots are scheduled to be completed in October, including an expanded Lot P39 at the intersection of St. Felix and West Tarleton streets, just west of the Tarleton tennis court complex. The expansion of Lot P39, designed as residential student parking, will create 24 new spaces.

Lot P44, also designated for residential students, is located at the intersection of Jones and Cain streets and north of Venture Apartments. P44 will create 32 new parking spaces and may open by the second week of October, depending on weather.
