Residents’ access to Bosque Crossing parking garage expected Sept. 19

STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Excessive moisture conditions following recent rainfall will further delay the Tarleton State University utility and infrastructure project along Vanderbilt Street near the Bosque Crossing Apartment Complex.

Contractors anticipate completing the section and providing access to the Bosque Crossing parking garage on Sept. 19, barring any additional rainfall.

Bosque Crossing’s parking garage accommodates approximately 325 vehicles for the complex’s residents, which should alleviate curbside parking concerns along the adjacent city streets and provide additional spaces within lots on the Tarleton campus.

The temporary street closure is part of a multi-phase project to expand pedestrian walkways along Lillian, Vanderbilt and other campus core streets. At the same time, utility improvements will eliminate flooding and stormwater drainage issues and enhance campus lighting.

Scheduled for completion in November 2017, the project will bring new beauty and aesthetics to the Tarleton campus, and improve safety for pedestrians within the campus core.
