STEPHENVILLE, Texas — As part of Tarleton State University’s annual Giving Day, SSC Services for Education donated $5,000 this morning to fund two scholarships for engineering and engineering technology students.

Last year, SSC Services pledged $30,000 to fund engineering scholarships for six years. This is the company’s second donation toward its commitment to students.

SSC is the university’s services contractor, providing safe, clean, comfortable and properly maintained facilities for students, faculty, staff and visitors. Company officials presented SSC’s scholarship donation to Tarleton President F. Dominic Dottavio.

Tarleton’s annual Giving Day challenges supporters, alumni and parents to pay it forward to the university’s students through donations to scholarships, programs and activities. Gifts can be made online at http://givingday.tarleton.edu until midnight.
