Tarleton Sophomore Accepted for A&M DRUMR Research

Sophomore Ashley Plasencia has been accepted into the Texas A&M College of Medicine DRUMR program

 

The Developing and Readying Underrepresented Minority Researchers Summer Research Program has received a National Institute of Health/National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) grant to provide exposure, training and mentoring for under-represented minority students, one from each Texas A&M University System school.

Tarleton, McLennan Ink Historic Transfer Partnership

One of the fastest growing regional universities in the country and one of the top five community colleges in Texas cemented an agreement this evening as a national prototype to boost educational opportunities for transfer students who graduate from two-year schools. As part of its Distinguished College Partnership, Tarleton State University will provide annual scholarships, from $500 and $2,000, to McLennan Community College transfer students with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Tarleton Nursing Students Step Up to Support COVID-19 Vaccination Sites

Tarleton State University nursing students are helping administer COVID-19 vaccinations across Texas and gaining valuable practical skills. Their work is part of a nationwide effort by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing to help meet the surging demand for healthcare professionals and get shots into the arms of the country’s most vulnerable.
