Tarleton State University’s Division of Institutional Advancement has received the Overall Improvement Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
The Board of Directors of the National Farm Life Insurance and American Farm Life Insurance Co. has selected Tarleton State University’s Kyle McGregor as its next President.

Amanda Kit Tollett has been named Chief of Staff to Tarleton State University President James L. Hurley and Vice President for University Relations, effective immediately. She succeeds Dr. Kim McCuistion, who now serves as dean of Tarleton’s Fort Worth campus along Chisholm Trail Parkway and Vice President for External Operations.
Tarleton State University’s Alumni Association honored five alumni, a faculty member, a former staff member and a prominent corporate partner at the grand finale to the three-day inauguration celebration for the university’s 16th president, Dr. James L. Hurley, Saturday evening, Feb. 29.
More than 170 donors kicked off the holiday season Tuesday with 257 gifts supporting Tarleton State University students. In total, donors gave $228,095 to benefit Tarleton colleges and student scholarships, programs and activities, shattering last year’s mark of $164,173.
Tarleton State University will close for the Thanksgiving holiday beginning at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 27, and reopen for normal business on Monday, Dec. 2. Several departments and facilities, however, will have modified hours to serve students during the holiday weekend.
