Members of the Tarleton State University family are challenged to “Be the Reason” by donating during the fourth annual Giving Day, beginning at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, April 16.
In remembrance of the 40th anniversary of his passing, the family of Tarleton State University Police Officer W.A. Hail will present a portrait of the fallen officer to campus police in a Dec. 13 ceremony.
Almost 150 donors kicked off the holiday season Tuesday with gifts supporting Tarleton State University students. In total, donors gave $164,173 to colleges, scholarships and student programs and activities, shattering last year’s mark of just over $26,000.
Tarleton State University will close for the Thanksgiving holiday beginning at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 21, and reopen for normal business on Monday, Nov. 26. Several departments and facilities, however, will have modified hours to serve students during the holiday weekend.
Preliminary numbers are in and the count continues for Tarleton State University’s third Giving Day, with more than $380,000 raised to pay it forward for students.
