Tarleton State Nursing Graduates Post Impressive NCLEX-RN Pass Rates

STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State University’s School of Nursing earned full approval status from the Texas Board of Nursing today after the most recent cohort recorded a 94.67% first-time pass rate on NCLEX-RN exams for the 2024 calendar year.

“This marks an important milestone as we continue to advance and strengthen our program,” said Dr. J. Michael Leger, who took over as Dean of Tarleton State’s School of Nursing last July. “Our success on these NCLEX-RN exams is a testament to the hard work of faculty, staff and students. We are setting the standard for what will be a bright future ahead.”

Students enrolled in the spring 2025 cohort will begin coursework Feb. 3.

The next enrollment period for fall 2025 admission to the School of Nursing will be Feb. 10-March 30. For spring 2026, the upcoming enrollment period will be May 1-June 15. An application link will be available on www.tarleton.edu/nursing during each time frame.
