STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State University hosts a variety of sports and cheer camps this summer for young athletes and spirit teams of all abilities. Designed to keep students engaged while school is out, the camps promote team building, self-awareness and leadership.
June and July feature camps for baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, football, softball, tennis, volleyball, cheer and recreational sports.
Tarleton Texan coaches and players will guide campers through drills designed to engage and improve athletic understanding and performance, while instructors sanctioned by the National Cheerleaders Association coach new routines for spirit teams.
In addition, Campus Recreation offers still another cure for summertime blues with weeklong Rec Kidz sessions chock-full of healthy outdoor activities.

NCA Cheer Camp
One of the most exciting and intensive cheerleading activities, this camp — sanctioned by the National Cheerleaders Association — sets the tone for the entire year. Campus Recreation
The REC Kidz Camp provides children ages 6 to 12 an opportunity to develop fitness, nutritional, athletic, interpersonal and analytical skills. Activities help campers become more independent, enhance self-confidence and develop mind and body in a fun and safe learning environment.
Campers will participate in a wide variety of cooperative activities, including capture the flag, dodgeball, wall climbing, swimming, kayaking, crafting and outdoor skills.
