Tarleton State University”s Spring Commencement

STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Tarleton State University will award more than 1,350 diplomas this weekend during three days of commencement ceremonies in Wisdom Gym on its Stephenville campus.
Tarleton President F. Dominic Dottavio will preside as 1,163 bachelor’s, 180 master’s and 11 doctoral degrees are awarded during seven ceremonies, beginning with the master’s degree and doctoral degree recipients from the College of Graduate Studies at 7 p.m. Friday, May 6.
To accommodate the increased number of guests expected on campus for Tarleton’s spring commencement ceremonies, the university will provide free golf cart shuttles in lots P-16, P-17 and P-30. A shuttle pick-up and drop-off will be located in front of Wisdom Gym’s south-facing doors to ferry guests who need assistance to and from their vehicles. Additional handicap parking adjacent to Wisdom Gym also is available for this weekend’s ceremonies.
Rome Street will be closed to through traffic due to the expected high volume of pedestrians accessing Wisdom Gym for commencement. Visitors still can enter campus from Frey Street; however, Rome Street will be closed from the entrance to Lot P-26 (Nursing Building) south toward the Sloan Street intersection.
