Tarleton’s Gordon Center hosts screening of ‘The Thin Man’

STEPHENVILLE, Texas —Tarleton State University’s W.K. Gordon Center for Texas Industrial History offers a free screening of the 1934 film classic “The Thin Man” at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, April 13, at the museum in Thurber.

The iconic comedic murder mystery features William Powell as the dashing Nick Charles and Myrna Loy as his sophisticated wife, Nora.

Nick and Nora are based in San Francisco and attempting to settle down. However, Nick, a retired detective, is pressed back into service by a young woman investigating the disappearance of her father.

The event is part of the Night at the Opera House series at the Gordon Center. The showing is free but seating is limited and reservations are recommended. A light snack will be served at intermission.
