W.K. Gordon Center To Host Hitchcock Silent Movie ‘Easy Virtue’

STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State University’s W.K. Gordon Center will present Alfred Hitchcock’s “Easy Virtue,” at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, as part of Movie Night at the Museum.

The 1928 British silent film is a romance starring Isabel Jeans, Franklin Dyall and Ian Hunter. After Larita Filton (Jeans) is unjustly accused of having an affair, her husband divorces her and she flees to the south of France to escape the publicity. There, she falls in love and hopes to start afresh but her would-be fiancé’s mother has other ideas when they find out about her past.

The W.K. Gordon Museum and Research Center, a facility of Tarleton State University, is located at 65258 Interstate 20, Exit 367, in Mingus and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays and 1-4 p.m. Sundays. The combined museum and special collections library is located at the site of the Thurber ghost town.
