Tarleton State University’s Baccalaureate Degree Nursing (BSN) Education Program was moved from full approval with warning to conditional approval on April 18, 2024, by the Texas Board of Nursing.
The change in status is based on NCLEX-RN® examination pass rates over the past three years, findings during the 2023 virtual survey visit and areas of noncompliance with Rule 215.
The program will remain on conditional approval status until the board changes the program approval status, based on the program achieving at least an 80% pass rate for first-time candidates for the 2024 NCLEX-RN® examination year. The NCLEX-RN® examination year is Jan. 1, 2024, through Dec. 31, 2024.
Efforts are underway to regain full approval status. For additional information, please refer to the FAQ page or email nursing@tarleton.edu.
