One of the best ways to avoid procrastinating is to use a planner to keep track of due dates. For students that are used to face to face classes where you turn in your work in person, adjusting to having to turn in your work online may be a difficult adjustment. Using a to-do list or calendar with reminders can help you remember to complete and turn in your work. Fortunately, your phone probably has all the features you need to do this unless you prefer a physical planner. Budgeting time throughout the week can help you keep up with your classwork. Also, preparing a study area at home can reduce wasted time. Have a relatively quiet space to read, write, and work on the computer. Finally, make sure your family and/or significant other is supportive of your work by giving you space to study and take tests. Make sure they know they shouldn’t be loud or in the camera view if you need to take a proctored exam. Each of these tips can help you avoid procrastinating and effectively manage your online study time.
