Health Pre-Professional Programs

Overview

Academic, curricular, and co-curricular choices are paramount in preparing for your future career goals. Students who wish to pursue a health career in medicine, dentistry, physician assistant, pharmacy, physical therapy, veterinary, etc. are challenged academically and personally, but they are also supported and taught by dynamic professors and advisors.

Tarleton State University’s Pre-Health Program aims to:

  • Prepare you to take admissions exams (MCAT, DAT, GRE, etc.) into health professional programs or graduate school.
  • Make sure you understand the application timeline for their health profession.
  • Guide you in developing co-curricular experiences including serving others, job shadowing, leadership roles, study abroad, and more to “round out” your pre-health experience.

” Tarleton State gave me unique opportunities to develop real relationships with my professors and mentors. As a Pre-PA student it meant the world to have people who cared so much and helped push me towards my dream. I feel confident that my foundation that I acquired at TSU gave me the best shot at getting into PA school. “
