Tarleton is a student-focused university and, above all, a family. Founded in 1899 as a private college, Tarleton has grown into a comprehensive public university with over 100 majors and more than 10,000 students across six campuses.  At its core, it has maintained a friendly, small-town feel alongside the resources and ambition of a respected 21st century university.

Look closely at the images of campus life. From the Tarleton rodeo team to the Round-Up all-campus service day, from the candlelit welcome for new students to the glow of the Homecoming bonfire, you will see pride. We are bound together by our respect for traditions and for one another. We are united in pride at the achievements of the members of our Tarleton family, as students and ever after.

Come see us! Walk through the campus gates and feel the spirit that is Tarleton.

F. Dominic Dottavio, Ph.D.
