The State of Texas HUB Program is administered and maintained by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. The Comptroller’s office helps companies by providing education and outreach to minority, woman-owned, and disabled veteran businesses regarding the Statewide HUB Program. The CPA is accountable for administering the following:
- The certification and compliance functions for the statewide HUB Program.
- Assisting state agencies and institutions of higher education with training, planning, and implementing HUB education and outreach efforts.
- Developing and administering HUB rules and statute to ensure full and equal access to state procurement opportunities for minority, woman-owned, and disabled veteran businesses.
- Compiling and reporting the State’s HUB expenditures and contract awards semi-annually to the Legislature.
- Providing consulting services to state agencies and HUB coordinators.
Who does the State of Texas consider a HUB vendor? A HUB vendor who operates a business in Texas and is 51% or more owned by a minority, woman-owned, or owned by a disabled veteran, and is in good standing with the state.
