Order Transcripts
Tarleton State University has appointed Parchment as the designated agent for processing and sending official electronic PDF transcripts on behalf of Tarleton State University. Students may also pick up in-person free of charge with a limit of 10 transcripts per academic semester. Transcript Service System (Parchment) offers a variety of delivery options like electronic PDF, USPS Regular mail, and expedited shipping through FEDEX.
Personal Information for Transcripts
- Name changes will require a Name Change Form along with official proof of your new name. Documentation we will accept includes; marriage certificate and/or new ID.

Order Transcripts
Students can order transcripts online 24/7 using the TranscriptsServices (Parchment System). A service charge of $2.40 must be made by credit or debit card. Effective October 17, 2024 the service charge will increase to $2.60. The service is secure, encrypted, and is the most convenient way to order a transcript.
- “What is Parchment?” Parchment as the designated agent for processing and sending official electronic PDF transcripts on behalf of Tarleton State University.
- “Why do we use Parchment?” The PDF transcript that is produced using this service contains the identical information as the printed transcript and can be certified as unaltered by uploading the file to the company’s website that is provided during the delivery process. Parchment has been granted the authority to deliver all such electronic transcript requests on behalf of Tarleton State University and respond to any inquiries regarding the transactions.

Tarleton State University Killeen Students
Courses taken at Texas A&M University-Central Texas, formerly known as Tarleton State University’s Killeen Campus prior to Spring 2013, were accredited through Tarleton State University and will be available through the TranscriptPlus System. Courses taken Spring 2013 and after are accredited through Texas A&M University-Central Texas and can be ordered through the A&M-Central Texas website.
Student academic records prior to Fall 1987 will not be available through the TranscriptServices (Parchment System). Please review the other options available for requesting an official Tarleton State University transcript.

Understanding my Transcript
On current transcripts, the degree is posted at the top of the transcript on the first page. On older transcripts, the degree is posted on the right-hand side of the transcript usually on the second page.
Personal Information Updates for Transcripts
After a name change due to marriage, you will need to submit a name change form and official proof of the name change (marriage certificate) to the Office of the Registrar. The Permanent Record Update Form can be accessed through the Registrar website. If you are unable to visit our office, you may submit this information by mail or fax. The fax number is 254-968-9389.
If you have a new Social Security Number, you can have your new social security number posted on your transcript by bringing in your social security card to our office and having a copy made to be placed in your records. If you are unable to come into the office, you can mail us a copy of your new social security card and a letter of explanation.
GPA Calculation
GPA’s cannot be given out over the telephone. You may come in to the Office of the Registrar and ask to see your own GPA by showing your identification. You can also access your Unofficial Transcript through myGateway.
To calculate your cumulative GPA you will need to do the following: Divide the total quality points by total GPA hours (as it appears on your academic transcript). Courses that may be excluded from this calculation are W’s, Q’s, and any repeated courses that are being excluded from the GPA calculation. Excluded courses are identified with an “E” in the far right column on the transcript.
- Add the credit hours together (GPA hours)
- Add the quality points together
Divide the quality points by the GPA hours.
The graduation GPA is based on courses being used in your degree plan, so it may differ from cumulative GPA

*The grade of “K” becomes “F” if not made up and a grade change form is submitted to the Office of the Registrar by the end of the next long semester.
