Air Force ROTC Detachment 845
Where Leadership Takes Wing

Tarleton State University is proud to partner with TCU to be home to an award-winning Air Force ROTC detachment: Det 845.
Our mission is to help Tarleton students develop the leadership skills required to become a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force. Through rigorous training and academic coursework, the Reserve Officer Training Corps offers Tarleton cadets a pathway to join the finest Air Force in the world.
Many of our cadets have gone on to succeed in a wide range of career fields, from medical to aviation. The training we offer instills a deep sense of integrity, personal excellence, and service before self. These values, combined with the robust academic environment of a large accredited university, help to shape the well-rounded officers needed to lead the Air Force into the future.
As part of this unique Crosstown collaboration with TCU, Tarleton State students benefit from the extensive resources and support of Det 845, empowering them to become the leaders of tomorrow’s Air Force.
