Financial Assistance for Future Marine Officers
Marine Corps Financial Aid Program (MCFAP)
Provides $1,575 per semester or $3,150 per academic year for up to three years.
Available to trained and fully-trained PLC candidates (including PLC Law Lieutenants).
Requires an additional 6 months of active duty service obligation upon commissioning.
Marine Corps Tuition Assistance Program (MCTAP)
Offers up to $5,200 per academic year for tuition-related expenses.
Available to trained and fully-trained PLC candidates (including PLC Law Lieutenants).
Resets the Pay Entry Base Date.
Eligibility Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Age: 17-29 years old (waiverable up to 40 for exceptional candidates).
Full-time college student with at least 12 credit hours per semester.
Minimum GPA of 2.0 (semester and cumulative).
Qualifying test scores:
Qualifying ASTB-E scores for aviation candidates
1000 SAT (Math/Reading Combined)
22 ACT
74 AFQT
150 LSAT (for Law candidates)
