- It is the responsibility of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) to develop and maintain an inventory of university information resources the inventory of information systems, network-attached technology, and cloud computing services owned or operated by Tarleton State University (Tarleton) at least every two years as required by Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR).
- It is the responsibility of information resource owners or their designees to develop and maintain an inventory of information resources under their control. This inventory shall be provided to the CIO as information resources under their control are procured and updated.
- At a minimum, the inventory must record a unique identifier (e.g. serial number or system name), owner, custodian, a description of the information system’s function or major application, and the highest level of data categorization stored/processed (see Control RA-2, Security Categorization).
