What is a Psychological Assessment/Evaluation?

Psychological evaluation includes several components, interviews, observations, and psychological tests. Psychological testing is somewhat like medical testing. If a medical patient has symptoms, a physician may order blood tests or X-rays to determine the diagnosis and develop a treatment. Psychological tests are similar in that they help the psychologist to measure and observe behavior to identify a diagnosis which helps to guide treatment.
