At Tarleton, we offer a general education degree program that provides a foundation for mastering teaching skills and specialized knowledge in a specific content area. You can earn your bachelor’s degree in elementary teacher education with or without teacher education certification.
Our BS in Elementary Teacher Education is closely tied with the Teacher Education Program offered through Educator Preparation Services, which designed to be completed during the last two years of your bachelor’s degree. This research-based program is guided by standards developed by the State Board of Educator Certification, the Texas Education Agency and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, ensuring our teachers not only know what to teach but also how to teach it.
