Texas General Land Office Disaster Recovery Program
TIAER has been awarded a total of over $4.5 million from the Texas General Land Office Disaster Recovery Program.
Phase I of the program was successfully completed in 2023 and focused on the Dickinson Bayou Watershed. Phase II is currently on going and is anchored in Jefferson County, Texas (watershed picture below). Phase II will be completed in 2025.
The main objectives of this project are to monitor and assess pre- and post-storm event water quality and quantity conditions in conjunction with utilizing a robust modeling system to find the most effective mitigation strategies that will minimize the impact of storm events on water quality and quantity.
