The North Central Texas Economic Development District (NCTEDD) encompasses North Central Texas (the 16 counties of Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, Tarrant and Wise), and was designated as an EDD by the United States Economic Development Administration (EDA) on December 15, 2016. An EDD brings together the private and public sectors in partnership to provide a coordinated strategy and economic development technical assistance with such efforts as strategic planning, grant writing, and grant administration. The designation serves as a foundation for regional collaboration and cooperative economic planning.
