Academic Advising
Academic Advising encourages all students, through proactive advising, to become engaged in their personal development toward the achievement of their academic and life goals.
Accounting, Finance, and Economic Labs
Tarleton State’s College of Business offers free accounting, finance, and economics support to all students to help with all undergraduate accounting courses plus many graduate accounting courses. Support is offered face-to-face (in Stephenville, Waco, and Fort Worth) and online via Zoom.
Career Services
Career Services integrates with academics and partners with industry leaders to help students develop both professionally and personally.
Engineering Success Center
The Engineering Success Center is a free tutoring service provided by the Mayfield College of Engineering. It is located in the Engineering Building – Room 242. Our tutors are advanced undergraduate students who have a strong background in their respective disciplines.
Math Achievement Center
The Math Achievement Center (MAC) is a free tutoring service provided by the Mathematics department and the College of Science and Mathematics. It is located in Room 203 in the Mathematics Building. Our tutors are either graduate teaching assistants or undergraduate students that have a strong mathematics background.
Science Achievement Center
The Science Achievement Center is a free tutoring center provided to Tarleton students! It is located in room 123 of the Science Building. Students are able to visit on a drop-in basis; however, schedules will vary based on the subject in which you need assistance.
Speaking Center
Get help with presentations, speeches, topic selection, speech anxiety, and more!
Student Development and Mentoring
Serves as an academic one-stop-shop for assisting students on academic recovery, connecting mentees and mentors, and offering study skills development.
Student Retention
Uses data and predictive analytics to organize and support student retention efforts in collaboration with university, college, school, and departmental leadership.
Texan Smart
Provides finance-focused workshops and peer-to-peer coaching appointments, both designed to develop Tarleton students’ positive financial practices and money management knowledge.
Tutoring and Learning Center
Qualified and trained tutors help students become independent learners by incorporating various learning strategies. Informal Supplemental Instruction sessions are offered to help students succeed in historically difficult courses. There is online tutoring available as well!
University Testing Center
The Testing Center can administer over 4,000 exams including certification & placement exams. We welcome the opportunity to offer a professional testing environment for your testing needs with locations in Stephenville and Fort Worth.
University Writing Center
The University Writing Center is a free support service for students who need assistance at any stage of the writing process. Our consultants work with students from all classes, disciplines, and degree plans to enhance their writing skills.
