Ranger to Tarleton Pathway
The Ranger to Tarleton Pathway (RTP) program offers conditional admission to Tarleton State University and concurrent enrollment to a select group of students at Ranger College (Stephenville) who intend to complete their degrees at Tarleton.
Students may take degree-related courses at Tarleton while taking general education courses at Ranger College in Stephenville. After completion of two or more long semesters, RTP students may solely attend Tarleton State University if they have met the satisfactory academic requirements as defined in the participation agreement. Participation in this program is by invitation from the Tarleton Office of Undergraduate Admissions only.
Program Requirements and Deadlines
Requirements at Tarleton
- Return Participation Agreement to Tarleton Undergraduate Admission Office by April 1
- Attend a Texan Orientation before July 1
- Complete Tarleton Housing Application or Off Campus Request before May 1
- Submit your Bacterial Meningitis documentation to Tarleton
- Complete a 2024-2025 FAFSA or TASFA (add Tarleton using school code: 003631)
- Submit TSI Scores and/or Exemptions to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions
- Co-enroll in a total of 12 or more hours at Tarleton and Ranger College, including between 3 and 7 hours at Tarleton
- Participate in a Zoom advising session with Tarleton and Ranger before your selected orientation date
Requirements for Ranger College
- Apply for Admission (Ranger, Stephenville Campus)
- Enroll in 6 or more credit hours
- Submit your Bacterial Meningitis documentation to Ranger College
- Submit TSI Scores and/or Exemptions
- Participate in a Zoom advising session with Tarleton and Ranger prior to your selected orientation date
- Ensure your Ranger tuition and fees are paid by the due date
