The Bosque River Trail Nature Center
The Bosque Trail site is a collaborative effort between The Tarleton State University Department of Wildlife and Natural Resources, the Prairie Oaks Master Naturalists, and the City of Stephenville. The City allotted approximately an acre of land along the Bosque Trail to the Department for the development of a Natural Landscape and Prairie Restoration. Short-term goals for this site include: restoring natural prairies while also providing habitat for birds, pollinators and other wildlife. Longer-term objectives including using the site for community activities, K-12 and Tarleton State University educational programs. Along with the Department, The Prairie Oaks Master Naturalists will be the caretakers of this Nature Center.
