Using Rubrics to Respond to Student Work
A rubric is a scoring tool that lists the criteria you will use to evaluate/assess an assignment. They can be useful in letting students know what your evaluation criteria will be, giving professors a consistent tool for responding to student work, and providing an opportunity for students and professors to discuss and define “quality.”
