EDITORS' CHOICE AWARDS

The Editors of Anthology, Volume 10 2004 have selected the poem "Religion Over Chips and Dip" by Brandon Barnes for this year's Editors' Choice Award. We felt that this poem resonated with the tribulations of spirituality at a time when the path for understanding is often littered with the residue of the quest itself. Barnes spare use of heavy imagery and his proclivity for irony caught our attention. Of all the poems we read for this edition, "Religion Over Chips and Dip" gave us pause, made us think, and ultimately reflect on our own choices. For that moment, when we all realized that this was a poem of distinction, we say "thank you" to Mr. Barnes.
